Food at The Punch Bowl
The Punch Bowl has built a reputation based on good quality food, fine wines and friendly hospitality. In the kitchen we pride ourselves on preparing fresh, locally sourced food and presenting it in a traditional yet exciting way. Our menu is based on mixtures of classic British and French flavours, incorporating modern techniques whilst being updated regularly to meet seasonal availability.
Our chefs have passion, drive and work exceptionally hard to provide you with a high quality dining experience, which we hope you will appreciate and enjoy.

The Bar
The slates found beneath the old dining room floor are now laid in the bar and compliment the beautiful Brathay slate bar top and antique furniture. Champagne by the glass, a range of wines, foreign draught and bottled beers are alongside a range of hand pulled real ales, meaning that everyone should be able to find something nice to drink.
The two rooms just off from the bar provide ample space to eat and drink or just to relax with a pint and a daily newspaper in front of a roaring fire. The bar area has thick carpets and a comfy leather settee providing a more relaxed style of dining to what may be found in the restaurant.
Dogs are also welcome to join you on the tables in front of our bar.

The Restaurant
Our light and airy restaurant has polished oak floorboards, comfortable leather chairs and a stunning stone fireplace creating a slightly more formal atmosphere than the bar area. The restaurant is available for both lunch and dinner for those people after an ever so slightly more refined dining experience.
