Food at The Punch Bowl
The slates found beneath the old dining room floor are now laid in the bar and compliment the beautiful Brathay slate bar top and antique furniture.
Champagne by the glass, a range of wines, foreign draught and bottled beers are alongside a range of hand pulled real ales.
Two rooms off the bar provide ample space to eat and drink or just to relax with a pint and a daily newspaper in front of an open fire. Why not take a look at our light lunch menu.
This light and airy room with its polished oak floorboards, comfortable leather chairs and stunning stone fireplace provides a unique relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy either lunch or dinner. The kitchen team concentrate on providing a light lunch menu and a la carte menu which features the best of local, seasonal produce which can be enjoyed in either the bar or restaurant.
The Punch Bowl has built a reputation based on good quality food, fine wines and attentive, friendly service whilst still retaining the homely English pub feel. In the kitchen we pride ourselves on preparing fresh, locally sourced food and presenting it in an honest but exciting fashion. The menu is based on classic flavour combinations using modern techniques and is updated to meet seasonal availability.
My chefs have passion, drive and work exceptionally hard to provide you with a high quality dining experience, which I hope you will appreciate and enjoy.
