FOOD & DRINKMost of our bride and grooms opt for a classic wedding breakfast with dishes from our à la carte menu. We can also provide anything from fine-dining style tasting menus with wine pairing to hog-roasts or even a vegan afternoon tea party. You can have as many or as few add-ons as you like, including, canapés, an outdoor cocktail hut, grazing table or late night bacon sandwiches to name a few.

CEREMONYFor a traditional ceremony with real wedding bells, we’re lucky enough to have the beautiful St Mary’s Church next door. Alternatively, Kendal Registry Office will conduct intimate ceremonies inside the Punch Bowl. No matter which option you choose, our weddings are always beautifully styled to your exact requirements.

RECOMMENDED SUPPLIERSWe have been hosting weddings for over 10 years and over that time we’ve got to know some great local suppliers. For the prettiest stationery, go no further than Ellie Heaven, who recently created some beautiful Summer & Winter illustrations of The Punch Bowl. As for the photography, we recommend Tiree Dawson . With regards to flowers, Brackens of Bowness have always impressed us with their reliability and attention to detail. Last but not least, for the entertainment there’s Anfield Agency, who offer an amazing range of options.

Natalie & Jamie: We had our wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast at the Punch Bowl Inn, Crosthwaite in September (2024) and it was truly incredible. The setting was just perfect for us and our small intimate family wedding with such a warm and enchanting atmosphere. Every member of staff was so welcoming and could not have done more for us going above and beyond to make it such a memorable time. Judith was especially fantastic - so well organised and ensuring everything was perfectly arranged for us. The food was outstanding, from our breakfast, canapés right through to our evening meal and late night food. Our family could not stop raving about how delicious everything was. We are so thankful to the Punch Bowl for giving us such a special and unforgettable day. It was everything we hoped for and more! We are very thankful to you all for making it such a wonderful day

Couldn't fault anything from the amazing food to the friendly team and how brilliant Judith was in organising everything. Kirsty & Simon: When deciding on our wedding venue, our priority was somewhere providing a relaxed but stylish environment with excellent food, fine wines and exceptional customer service - The Punch Bowl exceeded on all. On the weekend of our wedding, there was a warm and friendly atmosphere from arrival through to when we left, the whole team made sure everything ran smoothly and provided a personal touch throughout. We can’t wait to go back!
